Cancellation Policy

If you do not purchase cancellation insurance

If you cancel your camp registration, AND DID NOT PURCHASE OUR CANCELLATION INSURANCE at the time of registration here is our policy:

• The deposit amount you have paid is completely non-refundable.
• Up until May 1st 2009 you will get any remaining money back, minus the non-refundable deposit.
• After May 1st 2009, there are absolutely no refunds, for whatever reason and you will lose all the money paid to Camp of Champions. No exceptions.

If you purchase our Cancellation Insurance for Deluxe or Standard Camp

If you purchase our Cancellation Insurance at the time of registration and you subsequently need to cancel, you get all your money back minus the cost of the insurance. If you get injured during camp, different rules apply: please check the policies below.

Please understand that these policies are in place for a reason, and we have to abide by them, no matter what the circumstances. We cannot deviate from them. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing.

If you cancel your booking

If you cancel in writing before the first day of your camp session...

• If you purchased our Cancellation Insurance at the time of registration, you get all your money back minus the cost of the insurance. This applies up until the day before your camp session starts, so you are completely covered up until that point.
• If you purchased our Cancellation Insurance at the time of registration, you can cancel for ANY REASON UP TO THE DAY BEFORE YOUR CAMP STARTS it doesn't matter to us. For instance, if the camper gets injured before their camp starts, a family emergency occurs or the camper doesn't make the grade at school, you get all your money back (minus the cost of the insurance).

If you purchase our Cancellation Insurance for Pro Camp

If you purchase our Cancellation Insurance at the time of registration and you subsequently need to cancel, you get all your money back minus the cost of the insurance. If you get injured during camp, different rules apply: please check the policies below.

If you are injured during your Pro Camp session and decide to leave our facility and care there is no refund.

The Cancellation Insurance only covers cancellations before camp starts.

If you are injured during your Deluxe or Standard Camp session and decide to leave our facility and care

• If cancellation insurance was purchased at the time of registration, Camp of Champions will take the injured camper to Vancouver airport, but are not responsible for any costs incurred for any travel arrangements such as airfare, accommodation etc.
• If you purchased our cancellation insurance at the time of registration, you will get a compensation refund of $190 CDN per day for the days missed due to injury, once the camper leaves our facility and care.
• If you purchased our cancellation insurance at the time of registration, the daily compensation refund starts from the day after you leave our facility and care in Whistler.

  For example:

  1. You registered for an 8 day Camp
  2. You arrive Saturday (Day 1)
  3. You get injured on Sunday (Day 2)
  4. You leave our facility and care on Monday (Day 3)
  5. You would get compensation for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. (5 remaining days worth of compensation refund totalling $950 CDN)

Cancellation Insurance does not Cover

• Cancellation Insurance is not medical coverage.
• Any associated costs you may incur if you become ill or injured during camp.
• Cancellation Insurance does not cover any associated travel costs in getting back home such as new flights, car rental, different accommodations and so on.
• The daily compensation refund does not apply if you decide to still stay in our facility and care in Whistler, even although you cannot ride or participate in other camp activities.
• The daily compensation refund does not apply if you DID NOT purchase the Cancellation Insurance at the time of registration.
