Hard packed in the morning, slushy in the afternoon. The snow conditions are great even though it's
the middle of summer. The pipe and park are always in great shape, Arena Snowparks grooms and
tunes the COC Park every night. There is no better place to ride in the summer than COC. Last summer
during a storm we actually got a foot of powder overnight in the park.
The weather systems can change in minutes. We recommend putting a shell or extra layer in your backpack
just to be safe. It can be hot in the valley and raining on the glacier. It’s best to have the clothes
in your pack and not need them rather than wish you had them.
SUN BLOCK, SUN BLOCK, SUN BLOCK. We recommend Vertra Elemental Resistance, it is a
new brand made in Hawaii. It’s the best water and sweat resistant and non greasy sunscreen we’ve ever used. The
weather systems at 8000 ft can change in minutes. It can be really hot up there and you will burn
unless you apply a 40 factor sun block regularly to all exposed skin. It can also be really cold so
be prepared and still apply sun block. You can still get sunburn through clouds. Crazy but true. Vertra.

Yes, everyone shares the same terrain, the only difference is you will be instructed
by the appropriate coach for whatever you are riding. We don't care what you use, as
long as you're stoked. The best part about everyone sharing the same facilities is the
fact that it pushes you. When you are a snowboarder and you see a skier go off it pushes
you to ride harder. The same goes if you are a skier and see the snowboarders going
off. The only facility that is skier-only is the water ramps.
You can get on the lift at 10am every morning. You can ride until 4:30pm with your coach.
You can get on the lift at 7:30am every morning. You can ride until 3:00pm.
It's a two-minute bike ride to the lifts from The COC hotel.
It is a short walk to the lifts from THE DORM. We are right above the base of the Wizard chair. We also have shuttles to take you to and from the lifts so you don't have to walk if you don't want to.
Whistler Village is fairly low and the mountain top is about 7500 feet so the altitude isn't a big deal.
Lunch straight up rules at The Camp of Champions. It's good to re-energize for your afternoon of riding.
John and Deanne, two Whistler locals who owned Ingrid's Deli since time began, prepare the lunch
fresh every morning. Lunch is transported up to our facility on the glacier by our staff. It’s
basically an amazing deli transported up the mountain so you can make your lunch 5 seconds before
you eat it.
A huge selection of different breads, buns, tortillas, deli cuts, toppings and condiments await
you. It's served smorgasbord style so you don't have to drag a squished bag lunch up the mountain
with you everyday, like you do at other camps. Our lunch takes into account all diets. "Meatetarian,
Vegetarian, Vegan, PB and Jam, Only food that is blue." No matter what your lunch diet is we have
you covered.
Lunch is at around 11:30AM at the giant COC tent. So, make your masterpiece gourmet sandwich,
grab a (Canadian) chocolate bar, some chips and a drink, then chill. You'll be energized for
your afternoon session.
There is water and Gatorade available all day on the glacier so you don't have to worry about
getting dehydrated

Depending on the mood we hit either "Gone" for a another grind session or we go to "Dups" for Mexican eats. Dups is owned by a couple of tech's from our friends at Summit Cycle so we hit it a lot. Gotta support the brotherhood. Both places rock and you will roll back to park ready to give'r for the afternoon.Lunch is usually around 1:00PM or whenever the coach and your crew are feeling it.
