THE BIKE PARK

The Whistler Bike Park is the center of the universe for gravity fueled riding. Every summer the park is exponentially better than it was the year before. The crew that builds and maintains the park does such an awesome job. There are so many fun lines that no matter what kind of riding you like, or what your ability level is the park has more than enough to keep you stoked. For a week or life.

Pre ride every trail - Download our App

If you want to see how much fun riding in Whistler is download our iPhone/iPad app or our Android app and click on the videos tab. You can ride every trail in the Whistler Bike Park with our coaches. They are filmed in a split screen format so you can follow a pro or look back at a pro so you can learn lines and see all the obstacles from two angles. It's a great way to get fast and more confident.

Riding with our coaches

Having a coach showing you how to ride the Bike Park is the best way of getting rid of the intimidation factor and getting the maximum enjoyment out of the Bike Park in Whistler. It's off the hook. Come ride the Bike Park with us.

Fitzsimmons Zone

The Fitzsimmons Express is part of the original bike park. There are so many lines and trails criss - crossing it you can go from trail-to-trail and never do the same run twice in a row.

This is the area where the easier trails are and where we will ride at first when we do our first day of skill testing to see where everyone's ability levels are. After a quick warm up run on mellow runs like the newly lengthened Crank It Up; with small wall rides, mellow jumps and great berms, we start riding the terrain and features that suit your ability.

Fitzsimmons is an amazing playground. If you are an advanced rider there are runs like: Dirt Merchant, A-Line, and Schleyer.

For intermediate level riders there are also super fun runs like: Crank it Up, Heart of Darkness, Devils Club and more.

For the beginner or first time DH mountain biker there are a lot of different trails for you too in the Fitzsimmons Area.

One of the other cool things about "Fitz" is just standing in line and hearing accents from around the world all raving about the great day their having and how sick the park is. You also get to check out every bike you have ever heard of. When you ride up Fitz flying over the Boneyard and just looking at it takes your breath away.

Garbanzo Zone

When the bike park opened we thought what they had was the best ever. Then they opened Garbanzo...

It seemed like every day we went riding there was something new to rip. Old favorites had "detours" added with cunning stunts, and new sections were opening weekly. The fact that you can do laps all day on trails like Freight Train and then link it up to A-Line for a total of 4800 vertical of every sort of riding you could ever want is just dumbfounding. There were days when that was all we rode.

There are runs like "In Deep" with all kinds of tricky stunts and singletrack. We could keep naming trails like: "Goats Gully", "No Joke", etc, etc telling you how insanely fun they are, but the best thing is to check out the videos we've made of every trail in the park and Get Stoked! Then come out to camp and ride the park with our coaches and then just think up your own words to describe them.

Skill Centers

The skills centers are scattered around the mountain. They are designed to help you learn faster without actually having to do a full run in the park. Learn how to ride wide logs low to the ground, thinner logs, wood bridges, teeter totters, and more. There are skill centers for stunts, drops, and to improve basic bike skills and balance. No matter what you want to learn the Bike Park has a skill center that will make learning much easier and less painful. It makes you a stronger rider without paying a high toll on your body and bike.

There are three levels of skills centers.

Beginner

Everything is low to the ground to help you build your confidence on riding logs and planks.

Intermediate

It takes the beginner stunts and ups the difficulty. This level has narrower planks, logs and harder stunts.

Expert

North Shore Style Obstacles designed so you can drop into the bike park with confidence and skill.
