THE CAMP

  • The Best Park - The Best Price

The Camp of Champions has the largest private park in the world. The COC Park grew an amazing 30% in 2010 and now it's growing another 20% for 2012. We have the space to have two handle tows without sacrificing features for the space that take up like other camps do. Our park is so big it's easily double and sometimes triple the size of any camp's park in Whistler or at Mt. Hood. The park is designed and built by Steve Petrie who built the 2010 Olympic Halfpipe and the Arctic Challenge features. The COC Park is designed for everyone to have the kind of terrain they need to progress, beginners, to up and coming pro riders, to X-Games and Olympic medalists.

  • The Most Time On Snow

When you come to The Camp of Champions you get the more on snow time than any camp at Mt. Hood. Campers can be on snow from 8:00AM to 3:00PM. At Mt. Hood you are on snow from 10:30AM to 2:30PM. We get 1.5 hours longer a day riding and skiing than any other camp in Whistler as we don't take an hour and a half lunch break in the middle of the day. You eat your lunch when ever you want at COC. You're here to ride and we keep that as one of our main priorities. Come to The Camp of Champions and see how much better you get with 1.5 to 3 extra hours of riding a day.
  • One-on-One Coaching

All coaching is "One-on-One" in small groups. The size of your group depends on your ability. Coaching is all day - every day from 8am to 3pm.

  • The Compound

The Compound is located right next to The Dorm and it's 45,000 square feet are stuffed to the gills with everything fun we could think of. A perfect 48 foot wide miniramp, a street style skate area, pool, pingpong and foosball tables and couches. Every summer our dirt jumps get better than the year before and a mulch pit and a Big Air bag for learning any bike trick you can think of into the safety of a Big Air Bag. To make sure you know it's a party, there's a 2600 watt sound system to keep the tunes pumping.

The Camp Experience.

  • Amazing Coaches

Head Coach and Crankworx slayer Mike Montgomery selects all our coaches. He looks for the magic combination of mad riding skills, great personality, and awesome coaching ability. He’s out done himself with our line up of coaches for 2012. It’s amazing how much you learn in a session when you have a lot of the best riders in the world as your coaches.

  • RIDE MORE - LEARN MORE®

The best way to learn the most is ride the most. We ride the bike park from 10 AM to 4:30- 5:00PM every day. After chilling for a bit, grabbing some food, we session the dirt jumps, mulch pit and Big Air Bag till 10PM. Over the course of a week we ride the equivalent of an extra week compared to other camps. You come to ride so we make sure you get as much riding as we can possibly stuff into a week. You will get so much better by the end of your session it’s crazy. Here’s what Lasse from Denmark had to say “The two weeks with the camp was the best days of my life. Everyone was so friendly and cool and just wanted to have a good time. The camp does not only make you progress in sports, but also with being social and being yourself. I was very, very shy before I went to camp. but I’m actual not really any more. I’m doing everything I can to tell people back home how great Camp of Champions is, because everyone should have the experience of being a camper at your camp."

  • Big Air Bag, Mulch Pit and Dirt Jumps

When we added dirt jumps, a mulch pit and a Big Air Bag to The Compound in 2010 we knew it was going to be so much fun that a lot of campers just wanted to ride the Compound all day. We didn't know it was going to make things go off so hard that new tricks were getting invented every week by the coaches and that campers would progress so fast they didn't need the small dirt jumps. They went straight from hitting the air bag to the medium dirt line tot he mulch pit. With Banshee AMP's, Spank Tweet Tweet's and other amazing bikes to session 2012 is going to be an a amazing summer...again.
  • Best Coaching Ratio

Our grouping of 1 coach for every 3 riders makes the learning curve so short that you won’t even notice it. You’ll be ripping in no time. With our ratio being 1:3 at the most, you’ll get the most one–on-one coaching of any camp anywhere. With a coach in the lead to follow and a coach at the rear of every group of 6 riders you have someone to watch and someone to watch you.

  • Bike Park Tickets

Lift tickets for the Whistler Bike Park for duration of stay.

  • Demo Bikes

When you ride the Camp of Champions demo bikes, you aren’t riding a regular rental bike like you would at other camps. At COC you ride Transition TR450’s, TR250’s, Banshee Legend MKII’s, Santa Cruz Carbon V-10’s, Morewood Makuku’s, Intense M9’s, Spank Tweet Tweet’s, Banshee AMP’s, NS Metropolis 1's and others that are still to be determined. Unlike other camps rentals these bikes are World Cup spec'd DH, Freeride and DJ bikes for COC campers. They get a complete tune every night.

  • Bike Damage Insurance

The Whistler Bike Park eats bikes, it's why we have the Ride Along Mechanic®. It's why this year we have added the Bike Damage Insurance feature. It costs $120CDN per 8 day session and covers your bike for any damage caused while riding the Bike Park. With the way our bikes are spec'd this year with top of the line stuff from Sram, Race Face, Maxxis, Straitline and others the bikes don't have a cheap part on them. It doesn't cover theft. With the price of parts, this one is a no brainer. Nothing better than not having to worry about how much a part is after you crash and burn in the park.

  • Bring Your Own Bike Discount

Save $300 CDN per 8 day session if you bring your own DH bike (Conditions apply). Beware, the Whistler Bike Park eats bikes that aren’t worthy and you will spend more money fixing your bike than you saved.

  • Ride Along Mechanic®

Part of learning to ride better is not missing runs due to a mechanical. Our Ride Along Mechanic® is in the park with the campers, changing tubes, fixing mechanicals etc if you are using our bikes. If he can't fix it on the spot, he swaps bikes with you and you keep riding while he takes your bike and fixes it. EPIC! Ride More Learn More® You didn't come to Whistler to walk a broken bike down the mountain, you came to ride.

  • Tuned Bikes

Factory Pro Riders get a custom tuned bike and so do COC campers. Your bike is tuned to your weight and the suspension, sag and fork rebound are dialed in for you. A tuned bike means faster learning. After a day of nicks, bumps and hard riding, our Ride Along Mechanic® goes over every bike with a fine toothed comb, from front to back, top to bottom bracket, tuning up your bike making sure that when you drop in for that first run the next day, your bike is perfect.

  • Pro Photo Shoots®.

Every day our camp photographer rides with all the campers, shooting photos and video in different parts of the park. Every night photos are posted on the COC website and on PinkBike.com for downloading. With GoPro added to our list of sponsors, there will be helmet cams shooting all the time as well so campers go home with discs filled with every picture shot and as much video as we can cram onto a disc. If riding the park with our coaches doesn’t make you feel like a rock star, being part of your own pro photo shoot with lights, flashes, video cameras and still cameras will.

  • GoPro HD Helmet Cams.

Every day there will be GoProHD Helmet Cams available for campers to demo. You'll have so much footage by the end of your session you'll be able to edit up your own killer video to remind you of your trip to the Camp of Champions and The Whistler Bike Park

  • Free Tubes.

The Whistler Bike Park eats most tires. That's why we were so stoked to add Spank and Maxxis to the COC sponsor family. Spank Spike rims are the most amazing rims we've come across. Their "Bead Nip" rim profile makes it so the tire never slips under the tube causing a pinch flat. Combine that with Maxxis Minions, the longest lasting and stickiest tires anywhere. By rolling Spank Spike rims and Maxxis tires on all our bikes we cut down the flats we experienced by 80%. If you do flat on our camp bikes our Ride Along Mechanic® is there to fix the flat/hook you up with a new tube.

  • Breakfast

All You Can Eat Hot Breakfast. We changed where we eat breakfast after campers said they wanted to sleep in a bit longer. Now we are doing breakfast at Zog's right at the base of the park. No you can't have poutine for breakfast.

  • Lunch

Lunch at The Longhorn, right at the base of the Bike Park so we can watch people eat it in the Boneyard while we eat lunch. Our lunch is off the hook! Mahi Mahi burgers, beef dips, bacon cheddar burgers, salads and more. Watch people eat it while you eat. That is lunch at the COC.
