SUPERVISION

Please be aware our camp is NOT a 24 hour fully chaperoned, "hold their hand" camp. The youngest age we accept is 10 if they are coming on their own. Campers aged between 5 and 9 need to have a parent or older brother/sister along so that at night they don't get homesick. If you are coming with a young kid we suggest the Day Camp version of camp so that they get to sleep at an earlier time so they don't run out of gas by the end of camp.

We allow the kids into the village of Whistler on their own or with their new buddies. This is never a problem due to the fact that Whistler is such a beautiful, safe and compact resort.

This is the Camp of Champions, not the Camp of Party Animals. Our staff lives in "The Dorm" supervising the campers. Our close, but unimposing supervision lets everyone have a great time and stay out of trouble. We treat the kids with the respect they want, and 99 times out of 100 we get it back.

Rules & Regulations

We have 5 very simple rules and regulations here at the Camp of Champions. If campers break them they go home. End of story, end of problem.

  • No drugs. No alcohol. In the Dorm by 10PM. No ruining someone else's trip. Respect all COC and WB Staff.
  • Any camper caught with drugs or alcohol will be sent home immediately, with no refunds whatsoever. The camper will be responsible for all costs incurred by being sent home. The same goes for people who insist on ruining someone else's trip orbeing rude or disrespectful to COC or Whistler Blackcomb staff. We are all here to have fun and anyone who ruins the fun is not welcome and will be sent home immediately, with no refunds whatsoever.
  • Abide by curfew, if you're under 19 years old (in dorm for 10pm, lights out at 11pm).
  • Only two campers per room/four campers per suite at any given time.
  • No rude language or behavior to other campers, our staff, Whistler Blackcomb staff, dorm staff or dorm guests.
  • Do not store any backpacks, boards or skis on the mountain, bring all your equipment back to the dorm everyday, it could be stolen up there.
  • No litter anywhere.
  • No stickers anywhere in The Dorm (the parents credit cards would be charged by the dorm for damage to the room). The charges will be split between everyone in the room regardless of who applied the stickers or did the damage.

Zero tolerance is how we operate. This creates a healthy, safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. There is also a random room search policy at the Dorm. It is detailed in the release form which the parents and camper will sign before they arrive at camp. Below is a copy:

I hereby allow the Dorm staff and Camp of Champions staff to search the room occupied by my son /daughter (including personal belongings) at random for alcohol or drugs. This random search policy is in place for all campers at all times to ensure your child's health and safety while at the Camp of Champions. We have a zero tolerance policy for alcohol and drugs.

By signing below, the parent and camper agree to the random search terms, any camper caught with alcohol or drugs will be sent home immediately, with no refunds whatsoever.

What if I'm 19 yrs or older?

The Camp of Champions Dorm and Compound are a completely alcohol and drug free facility.

The drinking age in BC is 19. Being 19 yrs or older, you are classed as "an adult" in Canada and we treat you as such. If you are 19 yrs or older the curfew does NOT apply and you are legally allowed to drink in Canada. You are not allowed to have any alcohol at "The Dorm" or "The Compound". That is what the village is for.

However, if you decide to go out at night we ask that you do not return to "The Dorm or "The Compound" in a noticeable or disruptive fashion.

The "No drugs" rule still applies of course, regardless of your age, as it is illegal and the police will be involved if you are caught with illegal substances. If you cannot follow these simple guidelines then you will be asked to leave the camp immediately with no refund or assistance in getting back home.

We do not want any under age campers exposed to bad influences and we appreciate your help in keeping alcohol out of their sight.

There are no drugs allowed at any time, anywhere no matter what your age. It is illegal and the police will be involved if you are caught with illegal substances.

If you cannot follow these simple guidelines then you will be asked to leave the camp immediately with no refund or assistance in getting back home. If you drink or do drugs you have decided to be an adult and adults can get home on their own.
